As we speak, there is no confirmation whether Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather will hook-up on the night of May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While much has been speculated, nothing has been finalized or announced officially.

But when you ask Pacquiao's noted trainer, Freddie Roach, where he thinks he'll be that Cinco De Mayo weekend, he states:

"I'll have a room at the Mandalay Bay with Manny downstairs and we're going to fight Floyd. I'm being very optimistic about that but when you see Floyd on TV talking about the fight that must mean something because he never goes on TV unless he's throwing money around and stuff like that, bullsh*tting. But to talk about a fight?"

Roach is referencing Mayweather's short interview with TNT's David Aldridge during the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night from the Madison Square Garden in New York. Mayweather actually refuted any reports that this fight was on or that any contracts had been signed by either side.

Regardless, Roach is now mentally preparing for a training camp with Mayweather in mind.

"I'll tell you how close I am, I might not go to China. It might get in the way of this fight," said Roach, referencing Zou Shiming's bout in Macao on March 7th, where he faces IBF flyweight titlist Amnat Ruenroeng.
