Heavyweight Labinot Xhoxhaj, 20-0-1, will defend his minor heavyweight title against Mourad Aliev, 13-0, on June 7 in a circus tent close to the Universum gym in Hamburg, Germany.
At stake will be Xhoxhaj’s belt and another minor title held by Aliev, who was born in Moscow but raised in France. Aliev has been promoted by Ahmet Oener's Arena Box Promotion, which for the past few years has worked with the "new" Universum Box Promotion headed by Ismail Oezen-Otto.
When it comes to titles, Oener has concentrated on WBC subtitles, and Aliev is already ranked as the No. 10 heavyweight by that sanctioning body, while Xhoxhaj can be found at No. 18.
