Frank Warren, promoter for heavyweight contender Tyson Fury, highly doubts Anthony Joshua will be able to turn the tide in the expected rematch with Andy Ruiz.

On Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Ruiz pulled off one of the biggest upsets in boxing history when he dropped Joshua four times before the contest was stopped in the seventh round.

Joshua, who dropped Ruiz in the third round, was then dropped twice in the same round.

After Ruiz carefully boxed Joshua and was tagging him to the body, Ruiz unloaded with punches in the seventh for two more knockdowns and the stoppage win.

A rematch is expected to take place in the fall, likely in the UK.

And Warren believes the outcome is likely going to be the same.

Ruiz took the fight on short notice after Jarrell Miller was removed for failing three drug tests. The second time around, Ruiz will have a lot more time to prepare and get himself ready for the fight.

"I've got to be honest, I would be very surprised if the outcome was any different. Ruiz will take a lot of confidence from the way he won the fight. He showed that he is a true warrior himself. AJ caught him with a real good shot when he went down, but he got up and put him down twice," Warren told BBC Sport.

"I think this fella will be better with a bit more preparation and it's going to be a different proposition.

"He doesn't look in good condition. When you think Anthony Joshua has been training with Navy Seals, he's in the ring with a guy who looks like a beached whale and did an absolute job on him."
