  • Angelo Leo is a Dumb Plodder, Even Brandon Rios had More Ring IQ than Leo.

He puts his heads down and throws and has no awareness of whats going on in the ring. Has no idea how to deal with Fulton just standing and leaning on him. He just keeps his head down and throws punches with no punch placement in mind, He hurt Fulton twice early in the fight and had no awareness of that and didn't notice fultuon was smothering you and pretending to be inside fighting to recover. His corner is also clueless; in round 10 they told him "fight hard" he has been fighting hard the entire night thats not his issue he needs a plan to nullify Fulton like take a big step backwards and reset do not let him grab; also if the ref wants to allow Fulton to hold you non stop than get rough and throw him off you; FORCE THE ISSUE dont just let yourself get manhandled all night and hope they be fair with you; its a fight make it happen!

The fight not over yet, so even if he wins I still think he;s horrible.

He’s pretty big for the weight. He relies on wearing you down rather than skill. The more he moves up the more he will get beat up.

I'm pretty disappointed he seemingly made no adjustments whatsoever. Was the same fight from round 1-12 more or less.

Disappointed in Leo and impressed with Fulton. He noticed he was getting tagged with the right from distance and stepped into Leo's gameplan. Not only did he hang with Leo, he actually beat him at his own game. He was better at creating distance to land crisper punches and then leaned and tied Leo up if Leo began gaining momentum. Unfortunately, Leo had no answer to anything Fulton brought to the table. By the time Fulton reverted to his distance game, Leo was lost and dazed in there. I'm seriously shocked at how well Cool boy Steph did on the inside... his ring iq, athleticism and dog in him will be a serious threat to anyone in the division. Fulton really showed so many more nuances to his game. He really converted me into a fanboy lol.

I agree with everything that was said here.

Leo I cant believe didnt even know how to handle a inside fight smh.

Leo just let Fulton manhandle him, tie him up and all this with no push back, I think it was only once where Leo tried to throw Fulton off him but that was only once every other time he just submitted and allowed Fulton to do as he pleased.

Fulton on the other hand had amazing awareness, when he got hurt he immediately took the fight on the inside so he can recover knowing full well that Leo is a plodder & that Leo would not have the situational awareness to even register that Fulton was hurt so Fulton can hide and recover on the inside right in front of Leo and Leo has no clue.

I actually rate Leo pretty highly, or did before the Fulton fight. He didn't make adjustments but I'm still not picking a whole lot of people to beat him.

I'm so pissed off with myself for having picked Leo, you won't believe it.

I knew Fulton was very good, had studied his fights much better after having already been fooled once into thinking that Arnold Khegai had the beating of him. I lost that bet at the time, and STILL picked against Fulton in favor of a technically much inferior fighter like Leo. I, too, believed the "warrior" hype, slept into a car, hungry fighter, etc.

If that's not being an idiot, you tell me what is.

The worst part is that Arni did way better than Leo (on the cards at least) and to me he seems like a way more basic type of pressure fighter. Pressure fighters who throw less combinations and look for a couple big shots are generally made to look foolish pretty easily by a good boxer. That's what he did to Arni for the most part but got hurt a couple times in the process and Khegai was at least aware enough to try and make something happen.

It was a very stubborn game plan and I guess he expected Fulton to box and move all night and eventually succumb to the pressure. Leo was not prepared to have his fight brought to him in the phone booth all night. The blatant and excessive holding deserved a point taken off though I felt but not like it would have made any difference. Made me very frustrated and anxious to watch though. Wanted to run head first into my TV by round 10....

I know that feeling quite well, believe me...

To add insult to injury, I also had thrown some money on both Leo and Fulton to win by KO in the 9-to-12 rounds. I watched the fight without knowing the result, from a file that lasted something like 49 minutes, all included. So after doing mental maths I was pretty sure that someone had won in the last two rounds or so... Lo and behold, the footage started having interruptions and cuts everywhere, so there were several minutes missing from the actual fight! I soon realized that my Sunday HAD to be gloomy...
