What's your reasoning that Ruiz beats AJ again?

Title says it all. I just don't see it.

I'll definitely eat my words if Ruiz wins.. but something tells me AJ KO's Ruiz late or wins UD

AJ is coming in the rematch more cautious and not nearly as aggressive. He just has to be more reserved with his power punches unlike last time when he got tagged.

Let's not forget Ruiz was the first one to get knocked down too...

Because Ruiz is able to get inside and force the fight. I do give AJ a chance, though. I'm quite sure he will fight more conservatively and attempt to box from the outside. This may keep him in the fight.

But I think AJ is a head case, and I think Ruiz will indeed crawl up his bum and smack him down again.

I hope AJ has a good guard plan on fight night. I know Ruiz will give it his ALL to just sneak one solid hit on AJ

Personally, I think AJ should have won the previous one and is most likely to win this one. I also hear the referee ain't a fan of inside fighting..IF TRUE...major disadvantage to Ruiz here.

Firstly, he has the mental edge. Second thing, he has that fast hand speed when he gets close, thirdly he has the experience over AJ. If ref split them up every time they get close then AJ has a chance, if the ref doesn’t and Ruiz digs to the body? Then I hope AJ losing all the mass helps him in that department. I fully hope Joshua wins, but I person can’t see him winning. I would be shouting him on doe.

To win, AJ has to box, i.e. fight going backwards, for the whole 12 rounds against a guy who's spent his whole career cutting off the ring against taller guys trying to box him. Only the smaller, more mobile Parker has been able to do it so far, and even that was a controversial decision. AJ has stamina issues - the flipside of "he knocks everyone out!" is that he rarely has to fight 12 rounds. He gets tired.

For every person pointing out that Ruiz was knocked down too in the first fight, there seems to be two more forgetting that AJ had 3 rounds (4, 5, 6) to get his **** together and find a way to win. AJ fans have reverted to treating Ruiz's victory as a fluke knockout, like Rahman - Lewis. But that's not what happened - AJ lost a bunch of rounds, then got knocked out.

The take-away from the first fight is that Ruiz has either more power or a better chin, and it's just not clear what AJ can do about that. Trading with him is clearly a bad idea, so he has to box. Can he do that for 12 rounds without gassing or making a mistake? The only other time he's done it was in his own fight with Parker, who doesn't hit as hard, and who was massively hampered by the ref in that fight.

The OP question is the wrong way around. Why does AJ win against a guy that already beat him soundly once? What's different that gets him a different result?

Easy, Aj cant 1 punch hurt Ruiz, when Ruiz got KD he got hit with like a 3 punch combo but it wasnt 1 punch. BUT Ruiz can hurt AJ with 1 punch, so either AJ comes to fight and gets KD again or try to box 12 rounds and never hurt Ruiz again and lose on points.

                  Heart, gas tank, chin.

These are all in question now.

I joke a lot because i dont feel AJ is as GREAT as some of his hardcore fans think and i called AJ can be beat by ANYONE in the Top 20, along with any other HW, outside of fury.
But watching the AJ/Ruiz replays its difficult to see Ruiz win again. It was an Ugly win. Ruiz wasnt tyson bob and weaving land crisp punches on the taller fighter. Ruiz was lunging and jumping throwing punches. It was lightening and i cant see Ruiz winning again like that
