Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder Have A Lot To Lose

By Michael Rosenthal - Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder probably will reach a deal at some point to fight next year.

Joshua probably will beat Alexander Povetkin in September and Wilder probably will do the same against whomever he fights later this year, which probably will set up a massive Joshua-Wilder showdown in April 2019.

A very good and balance article, I couldn’t sense a bias tone from this article. Am even leaning toward agreeing that the 15m dollars is low offer. But like I have said previously money shouldn’t be any B-sides motivation, especially when a chance at all the belts would make you bigger. Hopefully they both sort this out for next year April.

When AJ gets serious, he will ask for that $50 million, again. Any kind of problem with Povlov and he'll want it sooner than later. Hearn isn't letting it get away either, you watch, $50 mil or nothing will be his final offer.

I think Wilder should take it. Theres so much on offer outside of the money. If he wins, AJ is sure to want to jump right back in with him so theres even more money to be made.

the article tries hard to remain neutral and does a good job for the most part

the biggest problem is that....wilder would have taken the 15 mil and would have signed the deal if hearn had made it for this year instead of next.....hearn tried to hoodwink the entire public by failing to guarantee the fight to be NEXT for both guy.....he dragged wilders side through months of BS and insulted wilder and his manager.....so now wilder stance has changed due to hearns behavior...he wont be so keen to the 15 mil when it comes time to talk again

They will never take that offer. If they decided to fight in Vegas, which I'd say is unlikely, Hearn would put it on himself.

This fight is easy to make as Wilder/AJ have agreed to everything else, the only stumbling block is the money. BOTH sides need to do the right thing in that Hearn needs to improve his offer but Wilder needs to be realistic.

I'm curious to see how long the comments on this thread remain sensible!

This is a well written article devoid of bias. I think Wilder should take that offer because he has a lot to gain if he wins. What of he loses? There should be a rematch clause. They could do a trio

This reads like a kindergarten comment. Only an unserious champ will take that stand. Where is the ambition?
