Baseball would be at the exact same place it's in now.
3rd most watch professional sports in the US.
Many changes need to happen before it's ever number 1 again.

Baseball is the no. 2 revenue sport in all of the sports leagues in the world. It's only recently that World Series ratings slipped behind the NBA Finals, but regained momentum for the 2016 World Series and beating the 2016 NBA Finals.

Don't know about this stuff about the sport dying. I would say the NFL and football is more in danger considering the sport cannot resolve the concussion issue than say baseball.

Baseball and boxing rule.....none of the other sports matter.

There is nothing better than passing an afternoon or summer evening at a baseball game. The big green field, open air, beer hot dogs....best sport to take your children to.

watching anything is better in the comforts of ones home. baseball games at the stadium, i dont know how people do it.

            too expensive
            too long
            traffic

''the chance for a free baseball, doe !!!!''

ironically, mlb was never as profitable or as popular was it was in its roid heyday !

dunno how nfl is boring since so much is going on at the same time. people consider soccer (aka kick ball) to be exciting . wtf ?!?!?!? ok, fine. the riots that take place before/during and/or after can be entertaining (NOT the death toll !!!!). a kick ball score IS a matter of life and death !!!!!

''you kick and run, then i kick and run. MAYBE someone scores, YEA !''

Considering MLB is only #2 because of 162 games per year plus being older and more established.

Nfl is in no danger. #1 with 1/10th the games.

The NFL has a major concussion issue that it cannot solve. If I'm not mistaken, participation at the HS and Pop Warner level has tapered off considerably because of this. It's not in danger for now, but 20-25 years in the future? The health of a sport is not just ratings but also future participants to replenish a sport's talent.

Baseball has not been the #1 sport in America for quite some time. That honor goes to football and then basketball.

If that is the case then what is there to say about boxing or mma. Kids/adults know very well what they're getting themselves into when they play football.
