I usually don't believe a fighter calling it a career right after a loss. Give the man a chance to get away from the moment, and decide. But Smith may be serious. He may have decided this was it prior to fight night, maybe seeing one more payday to buy some security while he decides what is next.

We will see. I hope he means it.

        Have some respect.

        The dude was a warrior.

He started late and was never protected, so he had to take tough fights under unfavorable circumstances.

If your favorite fighters weren't protected, they'd have a lot more losses too.

Respect to Ishe. People will enjoy saying he wasn't sh^t cuz some mfers been hating on him since Contender ffs but the guy fought more good fighters than most top ten caliber guys. And he won a title which while easier in this era than any other is still an accomplishment few will reach. So while a 29-11 record don't sound all that great he never really lost to anyone you can dog too hard. Good luck to Ishe in the next stage of his life outside the ring.

His 1st 20 fights were the stuff most guys go through. Nothing to show ''warrior''.

                  After that, a 17-0 Jacobs......
                  19-2-2 Lara ?!?!?

                  Definitely not Murderers Row.

By al rights, Tommy Rainone should have gotten just as much air time.

The only sensible conclusion. Talk about mediocre.
