I was a Aj fan however after that performance he lost me.

I think Joshua will never fight Fury or Joshua until he feels both are past their prime.

Not true. I'm still a fan of Ruiz. He showed what he can do when he trains/fights in earnest in the 1st fight ... and he showed how mediocre he can look if he doesn't train in the 2nd.

Even terribly out of shape he hurt Joshua in rounds 4 and 8. There is always a dangerous man with heavy hands in Ruiz. His preparation for the rematch was not worthy of a pro. I think he admits this. He can change that.

But a bum? Never! No man that gets in the ring with an AJ, Wilder, or any of the pro HW's thru the years, and starts trading punches, is a bum. He DID knock AJ into next week previously. What does that make AJ, if a bum can do that?

There's no excuse for Andy's poor effort of preparation. But, he's not the first 30 yr. old to accomplish something great. then lose focus. At 30, in many ways he's still a kid. He will get wiser ... and tougher. He will mature.

But he's still a hard-hitting, dangerous guy, who DOES have a lot to be proud of, and CAN come back huge if he REALLY wants to put in the work ... just like all of us.

Hang your head for the poor effort Andy, but keep your head up. The guy that knocked AJ all around the ring was YOU TOO. Whichever guy you really want to be is ALWAYS within your reach.

Although i disagree that Joshua was really hurt in that fight at any point, im glad someone has stuck by Ruiz. I hate how overnight you go from champ to bum with modern fans. Obviously its more hatred of Joshua for some of them, Ruiz didnt come into it, but they gotta keep the narrative going that the guy they like deserves no credit.

Nah Ruiz doesn't become #1 by fluking it out while Fury is around. He was never expected to win the first fight, and was expected to lose the rematch despite winning the first fight. Beating a guy you're supposed to beat after Fury gets a much more impressive win doesn't move you back into first. Sorry that needs to be explained.

If Joshua and Fury can't meet up, then Joshua can't be #1. If he can't fight him, that doesn't mean he gets to shoot to first place. Nothing works that way. Should have taken the $50M and then this wouldn't even be an issue lol

Real talk pretty much across the board. I don't agree Fury "beat" Wilder though. He threw 13 more (pitter-patter) punches that Wilder ignored, meanwhile he had a couple partial-round naps on his back for his trouble. Can't give a guy a title for that ... pitter-patter punch-scoring or not.

I don't either, but I can argue points of view that I don't agree with for the sake of trolling dummies. There's a post in this thread I made some time ago where I noted that history doesn't care about what "consensus" views think, as the views simply don't change history. I even gave examples. It wasn't until later on in that post that I went on my "Gypsy King #1" tangent, but the guy is seeing red trying to win an argument, so he can't tell that I'm not serious.

You mean the one you created for me? I said that Joshua was exposed around the same time that Wilder lost to Fury. Notice how I said Fury was #1 after that and not Ruiz? That's because Ruiz never became #1 in my eyes, and I never said that once. You said it for me though, and I've just been kinda running with it because it passes the time. I don't particularly care if you take anything I say seriously, because you're nothing to me but random words from the internet that I can make go away whenever I want.

Fury beat an even better version of Klitschko than Joshua did, and he just showed Wilder how to box, and is going to do it again. The Gypsy King is #1, as he's shown that he'll go anywhere, fight anyone, AND beat them. Joshua doesn't take that away for jabbing and running against an even worse version of a guy that he was supposed to beat. Now he's going to go home and fight a mandatory next while claiming that nobody wants to fight him, while the true champs of the division rumble again next year.

Tony Joshua done a very good job and made it look pretty easy too. He would by now have realised that you can’t just go in a blast out everyone.
