Broner has the boxing ability to hit a guy like Maidana pretty much at will. Whether or not he has the resilience and the footwork to cope with pressure from an aggressive welterweight is another story. He'll need to get Maidana's respect. We'll definitely find something out about his power.

I don't really buy into this stuff about Broner having become a much better boxer in Oxnard, but has anyone got that clip of him slipping and rolling shots in the ropes? I love that video

Funniest thing is that you can get clips of Broner getting hit a bunch of times against Rees. In the short time the fight lasted, Rees landed at 39%, and in the first two rounds Broner looked a like a deer stuck in headlights with Rees' handspeed. The Rees fight was when I started to see how mediocre Broner was, Malignaggi confirmed it.

Maidana won't expose Broner because he's too slow and can get hurt, and Broner hits hard if anything but either of Guerrero, Thurman, Garcia, Alexander expose Broner.

I think Maidana could trouble him to be honest.

Depends if Broner has the ability to fight off the back foot and to tie up his opponent because if he walks him down and stands toe to toe like he has done so far with the defense I've seen I think he might have some issues.

Especially with his mouth wide open.

Maidana's very limited and I don't rate him too highly but one thing he can do is punch abit.
