If you think about it, if Rigo got the Mexicutioner name, a fight with Valdez @126 wouldve generated alot of buzz and probably paid Rigo out very nicely win or lose. Now Rigo is left looking for a pot of Gold against an Irishman with a hell of a lot more options and we all know Haymon isnt putting any of his guys against Rigo anytime soon or he wouldve signed him long ago.
If you can't beat em, join em. When Hopkins couldn't get a fight with the Don King controlled middleweights and realized King was setting up a tourney for his only fighters only, he signed with Don King. Rigo should try and join the PBC brand. He'll get the fights he wants and maybe the he becomes more active and makes some decent money. Not like he's getting red carpet treatment on the other side. Time is running out.

But it's not about money. It's not about style.

It's about being scared to lose. His mentality is why take a loss when instead, I can convince my fans why this fight makes no sense and they will support whatever I do.

Who was no cash cow and clearly had zero Pac potential, seeing his struggles vs similar sized opponents at 122. Rigos been free from Arum for a while, hows that going now that's he's no longer held down by Arum?
It seems to be working exactly how Arum wanted it to. He used pr machines to sway the public opinion about him, and now everyone just walks around copying the sentiments of the HBO broadcast team.

It's not like Rigondeaux is a one of a kind fighter. All counter punchers need the right opponent to look good.

Thurman vs. Bundu was boring, and I don't remember anyone condemning Thurman for it.

Has anyone ever seen a promoter work so hard to destroy one of their fighters like Arum did with Rigondeaux? He actually paid a pr firm to trash him on facebook and twitter. Pretty low even for Bob's standards. And guess who's there to eat up all of his words?

As for Frampton, he's pretty much headed for a run of low risk/high reward fights. He can claim it's a money matter with Rigondeaux, but his true nature will come out when he starts turning down a fight with Valdez.
That match-up will be easy to avoid if TR and PBC continue to not work together.

It seems like Bob wants to build up a Lomachenko vs. Valdez fight instead.

Do you think Loma would move back down, or would Valdez have to move up?

Valdez will head up for that one. He wants a rematch from the amateurs loss.

Frampton, LSC and others are making a huge mistake of saying they don't want Rigo. They should take a strong stand and say they want the Cuban. Lomachenko did and Rigo started pricing himself out.
