Povetkin did beat Ortiz as an amateur and knocked him down in the first minute of that fight but Ortiz has improved since then, although he's about 20 lbs heavier so not as quick on his feet as when he was an amateur. Right now imo it'd probably be a 50-50 fight, maybe with the slight edge going to Povetkin based on resume and experience against the better opposition (which also equates to more wear and tear because he's been in with better guys).

Yeah but windmill can hit but Povetkin can't. He never got Gay J off his feet. With the shots he hit him with.

8 of his last 10 wins were inside the distance, plus Charr, Takam, Perez and Wach only had 1 loss each when he fought them, Wawrzyk had 0. He clearly can bang even as an undersized HW.

Sure he can when he is juiced to the gills. However that was not the case on Saturday night against Joshua. He had undergone very stringent and random VADA testing. His system was as clean as a whistle

Povetkin was legitimately beating AJ and was landing some real nasty shots until he gassed. I think he would take out Ortiz early.
He went 12 with Christian Hammer so lets get off of that high horse

In addition, as far as Alexander Povetkin is concerned; He is done friend. You can stick a fork in him. His career is over. He is not the same fighter without the juice.

Also, you can't be serious about matchmaking Sasha with Luis Ortiz. Are you really serious? Povetkin doesn't stand a chance against him. Ortiz is not as easy to hit as Anthony Joshua. He has an airtight defense where he keeps his chin tucked in at all times.
                hahaha.

                Oh dear.
