Ha, your spiel about city life couldn't be farther from the truth. Cities breed ignorance as people live in close proximity yet rarely interact. I live in a city myself and find they know nigh on the least about the harsh realities of life of any groups of people. Cities are sheltered from nature, hence why unnatural behaviour is so common there. Also most cities are divvied up into different communities based on race and class usually. I'm just making obvious observations, liberals in cities aren't real liberals, they're lefties. I mean I'm an actual liberal, they're just socialists basically. They think groupthink is how you get things done because they live in a largely disorganised sprawl of human life instead of championing individual responsibility and liberty. It's kind of pathetic. Muslims are open and tolerant when they have to be but if they can have it their way they'll let you know all about it, ask Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, the Balkans, the Caucasus region, Pakistan, Central Asia and much of Southeast Asia. They're open and accepting when they arrive into your community as a minority but when they outbreed you and establish majority rule they tear apart your country from within. History has shown as much again and again.

Museums, Universities, many other cultural groups flourish to the point where you can judge a civilization by its great cities. You are ignorant beyond belief to judge everyone in a city.

And regarding Muslims? the same can be said for any radicalized monotheistic group. You had times of great tolerance in the Muslim world and times of great repression, just as you have had in the Hebrew and Christian world.

I have no intention of trying to reason with someone who wants to stereotype...Just one interesting observation: I consider myself a real liberal as well. I do support Trump, I think he was always a better choice than Hillary who might run again... And When Travesty first had this conflict with you I thought he had come on a little strong for my taste...I even let it slide about the cities... thinking people do say stuff that if they thought about they might not say.

Man I've seen my supposed rational and moderate Muslim friends hang around with ISIS members, be ****phobic, anti-semitic and subjugate women. These aren't extremists but they still hold bigoted views. I've also had someone I know turn into a white supremacist, something I equally despise. You're a fool if you think someone raised a Muslim is likely to be tolerant, it is an intolerant religion by design. Hate to break that hard truth to you but it's the truth. You've been fooled by Taqiyya. I don't judge someone based on their skin colour but I will by the ideas they hold. Truly moderate Muslims are a minority because the only ones I see be normal are essentially non-believers. As I pointed out to you, I live in a cosmopolitan city and it's only gotten worse and worse here. Europe is going to sh.it, my home is being destroyed slowly. Cities are nothing without their rural backing, they collapse without them, you just hold an urban centric point of view like a thoughtless "Liberal". BTW I don't think everyone in a city is like this, but the trend is that most are. Same with Islam, stereotypes generally come from a seed of truth, don't be so obtuse. You never see what ghettos are like? Not a shred of peace or tolerance there mate, you must live somewhere quite affluent. Your confusing different elements of a problem with my specific point of view.

1) Cities existed independent of any Islamic influences. They generally make people more aware in the same way that Europe grew in leaps and bounds because interactions with others leads to changes and progress, including technological progress.

Religions like Buddhism which started as a rich religion, practiced by the merchant class, a rich class, became very pacifist in their approach to practice. merchants had experience dealing with others, and were progressive with respect to many humanitarian values. Buddhism has been an Urban religion for most of its existence.

So cities may have problems but the problem is not urban center of activity...It is something else, Ill touch on.

2) The fact that Islam may, or may not be, an intolerant religion can actually be put aside when considering the policies that Canada and Europe have pushed...Because these policies are a disaster. You cannot tell people, "come over and maintain your ways, we will accomodate you." I don't care if the people coming over are hispanic immigrants, or radical islamic immigrants...When people are not expected to make a social contract with the dominant society, your going to get a disaster.

In America we have a melting pot. Your ways have to accomodate everybody else, and vice versa. There is no tolerance, traditionally for Sharia, for wearing a lot of religious stuff in public areas...and while there have been challenges to these policies in America people push back as they should. In Europe? they have allowed these people to do what they want...It is insane and I suspect we have similar opinions about this process, that is not our quarrel.

3) So before we even talk about whether one should respect the fact that even tolerant Muslims could potentially be monitered, why don't we look at policies and actions that are enabling intolerant muslim elements to run roughshod over societies that were the mark of achievement to many: Places like Northern Europe which used to have strict immigration and took care of people...which are now radicalized hell holes.

My point is we are not even to a point where we need to look at Islam per se..and i will remind you that the same crap happens with Jewish Settlers who do similar things when allowed to do so...Including, like many radical Muslims, migrating from one country (the settlers migrate from the USA) to cause havoc in another country (israel). Its the same crap my friend...And just like you have Muslims who are good citizens in the United States you have whole Jewish groups, like the Hasidic Jews, who work hard and do not bother anybody.

Lets deal with these elements first, then we can look at the doctrineal issues related to the practices of Islam as a religion.

Ignorance is when a person does not look at behavior to condone a bad element, but instead makes assumptions about worship, and stereotypes. You know nothing about religion I suspect...Did you know that there are even mystical pacifist schools of the Sufi? which are Islamic? Did you know that the Muslim world had periods of being the most tolerant and well educated new world? That the Greek classics were preserved in the libraries of Alexandria during period when Europe ran off the rails? And if Islamic doctrine is so set in stone, why could the Sikhs emerge? a group that blended Sufi ideas with Hindu ideas?

Its not Islam, it is the behavior of men with an agenda, using Islam as a means to an end. Do you think the most high, whether called by any names, would want to be used as a means to human ends? Think it through my friend.
