Before Conor it was Rousey... I think Conor is completely finished as an elite fighter. His heart and mind is not 100% in fighting anymore and you have to be all in on the fight game or not at all. I don't see him fighting anymore tbh just way too many problems and stuff going on in his life.

I think mma is lacking a bit of star power right now. Jones is a big name but with his steroid history and just not being a real super star (big name alright but not a massive star imo) who is next up???

He was a bit of a hype job with mostly carefully chosen opponents. He did have a few genuinely good moments (Aldo) but he was never the talent people were told to believe he was.
As far as crossover stars go, that's really hard to predict. Most MMA guys know to stay in their lane, as do most boxers. very hard to change focus and stay at the elite level.
