ODH, where does he belong?

This isn't my all time list at 147, but it would look similar to this. Where is, if anywhere would Oscar fit in based on his career and accomplishments at 147?

I could see both he & Trinidad as top-20 all-time WW's, but not really higher than that. It's too competitive a field.

De La Hoya might have a case for ranking higher than that as a JWW, though. His stay was brief, but my, was he a brutal cocktail of speed, power & energy.

Meh. Very good fighter, overrated because he was easy to promote. Good looking guy who is very media savvy, a lot of people think he's better than he was. That leads to him being underrated on forums like this just because there's like a hype resentment or something. Very, very good, wouldn't call him great. More American Gangster than the Godfather.

I think Oscar best weights were at 135/140, He had everything size, speed, power. And, he very easily beat some very solid fighters in those weight-classes handily.

Its hard to put him in a list for 1 single weight class as its arguable what his best weight class was seing as he went from 130-160.

Let me reiterate...where does Oscar belong on THIS list? This isn't an alltime list though I know there are some familiararities. Surely Oscar ranks higher than Quevas and Palomino, no? Can arguments not be made he should rank higher than Tito and possibly others?

I can't see any case for him being rated above the first ten although Trinidad, Cuevas and Palomino were not noticeably more accomplished than Oscar so those four are interchangeable. There are however others not listed who I'd also rate ahead of him, like Kid Lewis, Joe Walcott, Luiz Rodriguez and Jack Britton.

What about Corbett III? It would appear (through my limited knowledge of the particular fighters on his record) that Oscar sports a more noteworthy resume at 147.

Oscar doesn't belong on that list. His accomplishments probably pass Palomino's, but I'd give Palomino a great chance to beat him. Cuevas was a better welterweight champion and would have beaten DLH up.
