Haven't bought any myself and haven't really heard of any good ones that have come out.

"The Cases That Haunt Us" by retired FBI Profiler John Douglas is what I'm re-reading at the moment.

That delves into the Ripper case a bit and John profiles Da Rippa!

I read one of his books before. Can't recall the name of it, but I remember he wrote too much about himself/his personal life. Stuff about his health problems and how he met his wife...meh. Good book overall though.

Wasn't there some incident where he did that to Snoop Dogg and got his neck stamped on or something?

Possibly a dream/nightmare I had and not reality, but I think I read about that happening before.
