I've been most impressed by Murray this year. Winning the US Open and the Olympics during such a strong era is a great achievement. A few of the others have done really well though, don't follow athletics or cycling enough to say if they deserve it more.Olympic and Paralympic athletes dominate the shortlist for the 2012 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
Cyclists Bradley Wiggins and Sir Chris Hoy, tennis star Andy Murray, and athletes Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah are candidates in a 12-strong list.
Rower Katherine Grainger, golfer Rory McIlroy, boxer Nicola Adams and sailor Ben Ainslie are other hopefuls.
Paralympians Sarah Storey, Ellie Simmonds and David Weir also make the list for the award on 16 December.
