I've watched the sporadic games he's had this season, and he's played well enough. But sorry, how can anyone be player of the year having played so few matches? The Giggs choice can only have been down to sentiment and media hype. Gerrard, Lampard, Vidic, Alonso, Hangerland, Schwarzer, Jagielka, among others, would all have been worthier winners, imo.Originally posted by JmtRyan View PostComment

Giggs won it because the other Professionals Players voted for him as it could well be his last season to even feature in the United team, and he has deserved it in previous seasons

What say you about Roy Hodgson being manager of the season?
Terrific job he's done at Fulham. Last day relegation survivors last season to potential UEFA cup spot this year. Pretty impressive feat, especially considering Fulham dont exactly have the most awe inspiring squad.Comment
