Was there ever talk of Green-Briggs taking place?

I'd imagine that would've been an entertaining fight and been a success in Australia.

I think Briggs would have punched the **** out of him.

Briggs was good. I went to both Adamek fights.

Briggs didn't even start boxing until late too.

He can just get a bit annoying sometimes.

People out here know jack **** about boxing, and sometimes fighters like Green and Mundine can take advantage of that.

People think these guys are legitimate world class, elite fighter, when really they haven't beaten anyone near that level.

Its just that Danny carries on like he is some kind of god of boxing sometimes, it can just get annoying.

He does have power though no doubt. If Jones ages in this fight he could find himself getting stopped.


And yeah, I think Paul would have beaten Danny as well. WOuld have been a good fight but as others have said Paul went life and death with Adamek twice, and I don't think Adamek would have had anywhere near as much trouble with Danny.

My cousin actually thought that the Briggs won the second fight, but I thought Adamek won both.
All the same they were excellent scraps and outdid the main events (Brewster-Golota and Valuev-Barrett) by miles.

Too bad I haven't seen Briggs since. Did he retire?

Many here seem to think PB v DG is a forgone conclusion? I bet Briggs wouldn't write Danny off. I've heard in a number of statements whilst commentating he certainly respected the sparring they've had in the past and I'm sure he picked Danny to flog Mundine as a result of those sparring sessions. Both are Aussie warriors (well one is a kiwi, but he is a damn warrior none-the-less). Would like to see in the aussie contender, PB drill SBW through a window or some other suitably violent assault.

Roy is one of the best fighters of the modern era. Danny has never beaten a decent fighter and never won a legit world title. There is a bit of a difference between the two.

I dropped the Kessler av to put Roy up. I can grab posts I made after the fight about it if you want, but I really couldn't be bothered. I'll always be a fan of Kess, he just got beaten by a guy whose style is horrible for him. I didn't "drop" Kessler after he lost to Zaghe so I won't be dropping him now.

I'm not going to respond to the rest of it mate, it just sounded like garbage to be honest.

Oh yes, his wit is so razor sharp. The man pulls it hard, try to get real mate plus he's about as charming as a rat with a gold tooth. The funny thing is, the best parts of his history to me at least: getting KTFO15mins, getting KTFO15mins again, confirming he really was Roid Jones Junior, getting clowned non stop by showboating Calzaghe proving karma does really exist (and no doubt past victims of RJJ garbage would have been standing and applauding the TV set) and dry humping Jeff Lacy in his last outing inside the ring, rendering dumb c**t statements like yours of "charming and witty" as ******ed beyond belief. The man is a hero to tossers and it makes me wonder how the next generation of boxers are going to top the WANK of PBF, RJJ and JT once they're gone (which is thankfully not too far off). Green doesn't even rate at being a wanker compared with the virtuoso's of PULL I just mentioned.
