I worked with a Brit, older fellow, he fought in the falklands and the first Iraq war. He’s a pretty tough guy, and smart too. We talked about which country had the best special forces and he felt that there are tough guys everywhere, but it’s a sharp strong mind and an unyielding drive that makes a man great.

But, he did say that some Russian Special forces unit were the baddest men ever. Stone cold killers. He respected the Seals, and the Mossad (all special force members)

Lol, but this guy was like a tree, big, strong, and not uprootable. He could drink like a fish, could cuss like one of the devils own, and told you where the bear chits in the woods.

We were drinking and throwing darts, and I brought up how I thought Prince Harry was cool for going to war, and he said, “f you, and f Harry, because he put his mean at even greater risk because he’s royalty. So... you can take that bs and pizz on it, he was a high value target for the enemy!”

they have a rep of being the best. they were the first and taught other elite forces strategies and techniques after the war.

mossad are probably better today as they see more action and funding

What most people don't know about elite special forces units is the amount of gay stuff that happens amongst the lads there. There isn't always a need for their services, so sometimes the only clandestine activity going on is all the sucking and fcuking they get up to.

The Special Air Service is a special forces unit of the British Army?

              Good question...I don't know

It's impossible to say which is "best", the SAS or their US equivalent, because they work so closely together behind the scenes and have access to each other's intelligence, equipment, and personel, whenever necessary.

The SAS have the highest rep, I would say, because they are the oldest and the one which all other "special forces" groups around the world are modelled on.

g by the state of the country it appears they would have simply bent over. GTFO with your fantasy talk.

I'm not even anti-uk but when these clowns start running their mouths... Always a bunch of empty talk.
The SAS is generally very clandestine in operations and discreet in general. The UK hasn't fought its own wars but just supported the Americans in most part of late. You wanna know how good they are, they took Sadam Hussen pictures while he was wearing his oversized underwear. The state of the country is one thing the SAS are another thing. The British have never been about unnecessary numbers but about efficiency. As an instance compare an average British soldier versus an American. Americans are all muscular and bulky while the Brits are lean and unassuming. Don't let those looks full you, just ask your military guys what they think about the SAS.

                US salutes SAS heroes
                by DAVID WILLIAMS, Daily Mail
Four SAS soldiers are to be honoured by President George Bush for the daring rescue of a CIA man facing torture by Al Qaeda fanatics.
They were picked for the highrisk operation because of their success at snatching war criminals in the Balkans.

American Delta Force commandoes did not have enough battle experience for the mission behind enemy lines.

An Army source said yesterday: 'The American was virtually a dead man already. He only had one chance and that was the SAS.'

The four-man squad plucked the agent from a heavily-armed house in the Taliban stronghold of Kandahar. He had been beaten and was about to be tortured for information.

The SAS men slid down ropes from a helicopter on to the roof of the house, threw in stun grenades then burst through windows.

Have some respect, even if you are not a soldier. The least you can do is give credit for the invaluable those guys do. They are bad mother.ckers

Not by a stretch, everyone still gets lessons from the SAS.

The SAS still sees action and they are all over the world. It's just that due to their secretive nature people don't get to know.

The SAS soldier who saved “dozens of lives” in the Nairobi hotel massacre is in line to receive the George Cross for his “remarkable bravery”.

The trooper was off-duty when he dashed to the scene of intense fighting after Islamist terrorists laid siege to the DusitD2 five-star hotel.

At least 21 people were killed in a drawn-out assault that saw hundreds of civilians trapped in the hotel complex.

A well-placed source said the SAS man - understood to be a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer - will be recommended for one of the highest medals for gallantry and likely the George Cross.

Just two George Medals were awarded last year while the last George Cross was handed out in June 2017 to Dominic Troulan for his bravery in the Westgate Mall terrorist attack, that also took place in Nairobi.

The number of times the Brits have been called upon to rescue Americans should tell you who they rate the most:

British SBS commando to get 'American VC'
                      By Michael Smith, Defence Correspondent
                      12:01AM GMT 26 Mar 2002
AMERICA is to award the Congressional Medal of Honour, the equivalent of the Victoria Cross, to a British Special Boat Service commando who led the rescue of a CIA officer from an Afghan prison revolt.
It will be the first time the medal has been awarded to a living foreigner. The Queen will have to give permission for the SBS soldier to wear it.
The SBS senior NCO led a patrol of half-a-dozen SBS commandos who rescued a member of the CIA's special activities section from the fort at Qala-i-Jangi near Mazar-i-Sharif, last November. The fort was holding 500 al-Qa'eda and Taliban prisoners, many of whom had not been searched and were still armed.
An exchange of fire developed into a full-scale revolt and two CIA officers who had been interrogating the prisoners were caught in the battle. One, Johnny "Mike" Spann, was killed by the prisoners. The other, who has been named only as Dave, was trapped inside.
