He's nowhere near Hakeem's level and he's not known to be a defensive whiz like Hakeem was.

Face it, when it comes to all time greatest players, Durant isn't even in the top 10, many will agree that Hakeem is in there.

True. Look at the Warriors now who is on the verge of losing their 4th game. The Warriors offense is stagnant when KD is their leading playmaker.

Who was the better player and better career?? Both won 2 NBA Finals MVP and an MVP. Hakeem was a former NBA defensive player of the year. Hakeem's won 2 NBA titles while playing with an average supporting casts.

Hmmm can’t truly compare as they have diff positions. But if I am a gm I’d build around Hakeem.

KD, albeit very skillful, is not a leader.. his talent is solid Alpha level but his personality/mentally is beta.

Put him on the same team Bron took to the finals last year and he’ll have an early playoff exit. When the pressure is on, KD also folds. Him on golden state relieves him from that pressure as any of them stars can put 40 a night.
It also relieves him from double teams on the defensive end.

One on one with Hakeem will probably be a toss up lol as neither of them can stop each other.
