What L? Two idealistic millenials with a look on the world that was outside of reality got killed for their stupidity. Cycling through known twrrorist hot spots is dumb. Enabling that behavior by showing support is just as dumb.

        Think.

It's not hard to spot agenda driven stories or obviously made up/changed up stories done for political purposes.
The gist of the story is captured in his own blog:

        While in Morocco, Austin wrote:

You watch the news and you read the papers and you’re led to believe that the world is a big, scary place. People, the narrative goes, are not to be trusted. People are bad. People are evil. People are axe murderers and monsters and worse.

I don’t buy it. Evil is a make-believe concept we’ve invented to deal with the complexities of fellow humans holding values and beliefs and perspectives different than our own—it’s easier to dismiss an opinion as abhorrent than strive to understand it. Badness exists, sure, but even that’s quite rare. By and large, humans are kind. Self-interested sometimes, myopic sometimes, but kind. Generous and wonderful and kind. No greater revelation has come from our journey than this.

There is nothing manufactured here or made up for an agenda. He took a flippant and naive stance with regard to his optimism of the world around him and paid for it with his life. Tragic yes, but also predictable.

Research first. Story isn't what it seems...

They did not "intentionally go through ISIS territory to prove thy were good." Tajikistan isn't really known for ISIS so really it's just another senseless brutal display of the religion of peace at work.

No reason to laughand taunt them. Suree they were naive on their worldview but they meant well and did nothing to deserve this.

they didnt deserve their grim ending, being naive isnt the worst trait. but unfortunately many people are out of touch with reality and would like our doors open to these barbarians.

I used to give the finger to the kids and they would wave and smile. Funny stuff.
