The NFL players arent still employed because of freedom of speech rights.

They are still employed because it hasnt been proven that they've broken any clause in their contracts.

If an owner fired a player for kneeling it would be a breach of contract and the owner would get sued.

Thats why the NFL just changed their rules just last week!

Roseanne broke her contract though.
