We are here to talk about boxing and you know what type of shyt this will stir up. Is that what you wanted? Lets start with the Tuskegee Syphilis experiment go read it and educate yourself. Then go read about the destruction of Black Wall Street then Emmit Till just to name a few. It was not black people who lynched people for drinking out of certain water fountains.

None of these events were really statistically significant though.

The US accounted for less than 1% of the world's slaves. A higher percentage of American blacks owned slaves than American whites. The global trade itself was mostly run by nonwhites.

Blacks killed whites too -- vigilante violence was hardly a one-way street. There wasn't simply a "lynching era" so much as a period of less regulated interracial violence. The KKK -- also of insignificant statistical impact despite all of the attention we give it -- was originally established as a vigilante defense force in the lawless chaos of the postwar south.

Segregation had many supporters from both races. There is a modern segregationist movement in US colleges and its almost entirely black.

The oppression myth doesn't help you. We have to play along so we don't get fired or expelled but how many people deep down take this stuff seriously?

You meet people in the US whos parents were murdered by some third-world dictatorship and they have less of a chip on their shoulder than affirmative action lawntoya, who is "scarred by the plantations" (has never left her suburb) and "sees the secret racism in your eyes" (threatening to blackmail you).

It's just one of those things literally nobody takes seriously but every ambulance chasing lawyer and promotion-hunting adjunct lecturer exaggerates ad nauseam until a myth is weaved.
