I used to watch this show called Southland on TNT. It was a show that followed the everyday lives of LAPD officers. I don't know what happened to it though, I guess it got cancelled. They used actual gang members as actors too and real LAPD worked on the show. The show was pretty realistic in terms of what really goes on the streets.
