He knew he ****ed up and ran to Mexico with his mom, his parents spoiled him, they should put his mom in jail for fleeing and hiding her son in Mexico.

IIRC, the mother is still facing charges. I do know she was arrested after she fled to Mexico.

2 years is almost as ridiculous as the 20 years the prosecutor was trying to give a teenager who was 16 when he got drunk and had a car accident that resulted in the loss of lives.

Whats ******ed is the justice system... How is it a guy with money can get 2 years for manslaughter but a guy without money gets 4-6 years? One has a better defense? Sure, but isn't that more ******ed to you?

You are right, the justice system is ******ed, we can both agree on that. Unfortunately the guy will get 2 years(maybe less for time served) when he should be in jail a lot longer, no matter if it was intentional or not. He was drinking under age, got behind the wheel of a car, and took 4 lives. He should be punished, but will just get this slap on the wrist. They should really just change the name cause "justice" isn't anywhere near this case.

1st this is not a liberal issue. This occurred in Texas. There is nothing liberal about Texas except Austin.
2nd - this kid and his friends stole beer from the store, got drunk, and he drove drunk. He swerved and over corrected cause the accident that took the lives of 4 and seriously injured others.
The presiding judge sentenced him to rehab/therapy that was supposed to be paid for by his parents along with 10 yrs probation. this same judge sentenced a minority teen to 10 years in prison for a one punch fight that resulted in the death of the kid that got hit when he fell and hit his head on the ground.
Again this is Texas.
Josh Brent of the Dallas Cowboys got into a single car accident that killed his teammate/ best friend. In Texas. Josh Brent was sentenced to 6 months in prison and fines and probation. Josh is well off due to that NFL pay check but his black a$$ still saw the inside of a prison and he is the one that really needs the rehab/therapy because it was known he has/had and alcohol problem

Its not rich privilege. It rich white privilege. Because had this kid not been arrogant enough to violate the terms of his probation on camera he would not being seeing the inside of a prison to this day. If his case did not get the media attention and outrage from it, he would not be seeing prison because that rich white privilege would have covered it up and swept it under the rug and slapped him on the wrist.

That's not always the case. A few years ago here in Austin a young Hispanic kid (who was not rich) was street racing and lost control and killed 2 women at a bus stop who were headed to work. He got probation too, and less probation time than this guy.

The justice system tends to go light on drunk drivers and others who 'accidentally' kill people with their cars.
