Rarely is their an independent investigation, most inquiries are handled internally by review teams or what not. It’s very rare for an independent investigator to handle a case.

I can’t speak for Australia, but in America this does not happen every day to this extent

In America, the mueller thing is rare. This isn’t an annual thing.

Kenneth Starr is the only thing I can recall being similar and that was 20 years ago.

Yes, Congress has hearings and investigations, etc. but it is not the norm to have an independent investigator.
