Joe Biden said Tuesday that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stopped the Obama administration from speaking out about Russian interference in the 2016 campaign by refusing to sign on to a bipartisan statement of condemnation.

That moment, the former Democratic vice president said, made him think “the die had been cast ... this was all about the political play.”

Biden said he and former President Barack Obama worried that without a united front of bipartisanship, speaking out before the election would undermine the legitimacy of the election and American institutions in a way that would play into the Russians’ larger ambitions.

“Can you imagine if the president called a press conference in October, with this fella, Bannon, and company, and said, ‘Tell you what: Russians are trying to interfere in our elections and we have to do something about it,’” Biden said. “What do you think would have happened? There are already enough sanctions on Russia that make it worse than the ****show it already is. The population was already knees deep in crap prior to the July 2017 sanctions...

And how can you put sanctions on Russia based on Russian individuals operating from within the US and without any proof that they were operating on Putin's orders?

Also, said individuals organized rallies Pro and against Trump at the same time. Is it illegal for individuals to organize rallies for or against a certain candidate during the election period? If for example next Election you support candidate X, are you not allowed to organize your own meetings or rallies to support said candidate?

There is no proof or mention of them altering or switching people's actual election votes and results, unless I missed something.

Putin is not threatening Nuclear war on its neighbors or the US. Putin is in control of the biggest or second biggest (doesn't matter, enough to blow the earth and end all life many times over) Nuclear arsenal.

If the USA and Russia would be allies, the whole world would benefit. If they could agree on the war on terror, ISIS, and other countries run by dictators, things would get done and other countries would quickly get in line. USA, Russia and China having a peaceful relationship is good for all.

Mr. Rocket Man is keeping his countrymen impoverished, locked out from the rest of the planet, while threatening Armageddon to the rest of the planet. My guess is if he keeps on yapping, China or even his own Generals themselves will take him out.

Because he's been laundering money for Russian mafia and oligarchs for years. We know Trump cannot get a loan from an American bank or Wall Street investors. The only one willing to do business with Trump is Deutsche Bank, who themselves are in bed with Russian oligarchs.

Deutsche Bank was under investigation by the Justice Department for both its role in a "mirror trading" scheme with Russian oligarchs that allowed them to launder cash out of Russia in the face of US sanctions, and for its mortgage practices amid the financial crisis, which regulators sought a $14 billion fine for. Deutsche Bank ended up settling with the government on the mortgage front for $7.2 billion just days before Trump took office in January.

Russian oligarchs have leverage over Trump because of his money laundering schemes. He can't be President because he's making decisions to save his ass instead of decisions that are best for the country. That's why he knew Russia interfered with the elections and continued to lie and call it a hoax. And went so far as to attack our intelligence agencies while propping up Putin.
