It is a good move from a defensive and free throw aspect, but it is a bad move because they won't be able to resign jordan.

Where did you get that Jordan info from? They basically exchanged salaries in the Stevenson for Barnes and Hawes deal. From my understanding, they can still offer DJ the max and more $ than any other team

I like the move for you guys. Isn't there a Team Option after next year too??? So if he falls on his face again, you can just dump him.

But Stephenson is good when he has better players around him, he just isn't #1 material. He can play lock down D, and be an effective scorer when he's not supposed to shoulder the load of the offense.
