I got Sean Penn.....a little more range and just as strong of a resume. But it's close. 2 of the very best ever.

This is a good poll. I'll have to give it to Sean Penn because of his versatility. However, Sean Penn had the opportunity to play a wider range of characters than Denzel Washington. On another note, it's a crime Denzel didn't win the oscar for Malcolm X

Denzel could arguably have 3 Oscars.....but so could Penn. He should have won for Dead Man Walking. Incredible performance.
