yea...it was weird...if you looked in my book bag back then, you'd see a CD of Deicide next to a CD of Eazy E

Niravana, along with the rolling stones, is the most overrated band ever imo.

i was 23 back in 09', and there werent any american band/song that had the same impact as nirvana.

theres a time i wished i was born in exact 1980 or late 70s so i'd be old enough to experience nirvana's hype.

theres some grunge songs thats really good.
Heroes ain't grunge. More Krautrock than anything else. I've never heard a grunge tune that didn't make me think of a parking lot full of whale vomit

I was around 23 or 24 when Nirvana first started making some noise. When Smells like Teen Spirit blew up a lot of people thought one hit wonder, while the old school Nirvana Fans (those who knew of Bleach already) thought Nirvana went pop and they were let down and turned off. What would happen in the months following would be pretty damn incredible. There hasn't been a rock n roll wave since that has come close to the tidal wave impact Nirvana had on everyone. Punkers to Jocks, and even Rappers would pay their respects.

Kurt Cobain belongs in the top 7 or so Musicians ever in terms of impact.

                Elvis
                The Beatles
                Black Sabbath
                The Sex Pistols
                Nirvana

These are the people and groups that changed the landscape of Rock N. Roll. All the others were a copycat version on some level of the people mentioned above.

Nirvana was really great, but not the last

                  there were:
                  Pantera
                  Alice N Chains
                  GreenDay

few others that arnt coming to me now

                    Kurt Cobain's only impact >>>>>

Seriously. Cobain and Nirvana, and the entire "grunge movement", are eminently forgettable musically.

Sales of Nirvanas music and merchandise even today say otherwise.
