    22m vs 9k? Hmmm!

Welcome to Mr Romney's fair America. Remember kids -

"I just have to say, given the challenges that America faces — 23 million people out of work, Iran about to become nuclear, one out of six Americans in poverty — the fascination with taxes I paid I find to be very small-minded." - Mitt Romney

That could be your president lol!

but remember. . with the yaxes he gets back, he'll make sure that some "trickles down" to the ones making 9k!

Socialistic policies can be good: One of those is public healthcare.

USA is in ancient times regarding healthcare. I know we value our maverick attitude, and "do our own way" style, but it's time to concede failure on the way we've handled healthcare, and embrace public healthcare.

No more will somebody have to worry about getting a six figure bill in the mail for going to the emergency room.

I don't want a socialistic country; however, I some things SHOULD be socialistic in nature - like healthcare. It's not a bad thing.

Mitt Romney's response: "Shut up you incompetent moron. We have already had tort reform, and it worked exactly as we planned. You have no idea what you're talking about, and you're some old guy on the internet who posts random articles you think are funny. You're going to ruin this for me, you ****ing buffoon."
Hahah, your killing Jeffries on that one.

              Context young Timmy, context.

What Mitt is paying is a.....Capital Gains Tax. Anyone can pay a Capital Gains tax...if they take the money that they've earned in Income from their job, and invested it into something and made a profit.

What that 9,000 individual is paying is... Income tax. Actually if someone makes 9k a year, I'm pretty certain they don't pay any Income tax...just Payroll tax which goes into Social Security/Medicare.

Yes....he actually could trickle it down and is. But it's the "Invisible hand" of the free Market. Thus...most people don't connect the dots and see it like some Jobs Bill where it clearly states "If you pass this 10 million jobs will be created".

The way he could trickle down for example is, by holding his Capital Gains earnings in a Bank. Now those millions of Romney's money get loaned out to a Small Business/start-up. That's trickle down. A rich guy doesn't have to just piss away his entire wealth by buying stuff to trickle it down.

They trickle it down just by the Bank holding their money and someone taking out a loan from that bank. They trickle it down through charity. They trickle it down by signing paychecks...if an active CEO/Chairman/head of company/business.

Actually....this is just a feel-good proposal. Yes you may feel better about yourself but NO....it actually doesn't work. The unintended consequences are there.

Enough people (the vast majority) are insured and happy with their current private health insurance, to not justify some Govt. monopoly takeover.

Even with the anecdotal evidence that guys like Michael Moore present, it's still small potatoes. What we need is the Govt. to get out of the way some more, so those prices can come down. DEFLATION in Healthcare. Then everyone will get a bang for their buck and pay the small stuff/treatments out of pocket without a problem.

America is the richest nation on Earth yet one of the unhealthiest western democracies in the world. I imagine this is due somewhat to the millions who don't have access to good hospitals or medicine. Any system where an insurance company can decide whether you live or die on the basis of profit is a scar on humanity.

Saying the vast majority are insured is inane rubbish, when just the 16% of people who lack medical insurance equates to some 60 million American's. That's the population of Britain. I can guarantee the average Britain lives far longer and happier than those uninsured American's do.

And removing government from the healthcare system may lower prices, it may raise them, but no matter how low or high those prices go, there will always be a portion of people in society who still wouldn't be able to afford it. I hate the idea that just because someone has money they can buy their health. Everybody who functions in society has the right to healthcare. I'm happy paying my national insurance knowing that if I become homeless and didn't have a penny, I'd still be able to beat cancer if it struck, or get nursed back to health after a road accident and not have a bill for £100,000 waiting for me at the front desk.

I am one of those happily insured people. I have a nice insurance plan with a private company, where I have a 30 dollar copay. I'll be perfectly fine if something happens to me.

I do think government needs to get out of the way in certain areas more, but I think a crucial area like healthcare should be federally regulated, simply because the current system has been a failure. At worst, we should at least try out a federally regulated healthcare as Obama proposes. . . Let's give it a chance, and see how it works.

Insanity is doing the same thing over, and over again, and expecting different results.
