    By the way don't plan on staying in Montreal unless you are fluent in French. They more often than not do speak English but they don't like to. It'll be harder to find work if you're an "Anglo".

                  I hate speaking French.

                  But Canada had just as many settlers from France as they did UK/Ireland so it is the official second language. What can you do.

                    There's lots to do for fun in both cities. I wouldn't want to live in some boring place like Peterborough or Prince George where there's not a lot to do.
                    I haven't been to Vancouver yet, but I picture it to be a more laid back hipster sort of place mixed in with the really wealthy. Whereas Toronto is really urban and exactly what you picture a major city to be. Toronto reminds me a lot of London.
