I think that the weird schedule kind of shook up both pitchers, but CC's been off for a while now. It started when the six-man rotation bull**** happened. He was the second best pitcher in the AL for a good long stretch. Even Verlander was off in the first inning, difference is that he bounced back and CC didn't. He's looking really scary right now.

They keep blaming the umpire saying stuff like the umpire is from Detroit or has money on The Tigers. This is so funny!

That's sad. Most people that follow the game knew Detroit was a better team. The Yanks had a better record by 2 games but that was due to the tigers really performing poorly in interleague. The Tigers besides the first game roasted the Yanks in the regular season, destroyed Tampa Bay and Texas also. Detroit is just better than New York at pretty much everything this year and why most picked them to win.

CC has never been particularly spectacular in the postseason though, he's more of a regular season pitcher. I agree that both starters were put off their game by the schedule change, but even Halladay had a rough start before settling in. Verlander is adjusting quite well now.

Doug Fister since putting on a Tiger uniform has been better than JV. The Tigers combo of Benoit and Valverde is better than Robertson and Mariano. And like always your offense is highly overrated. The Tigers have the two best hitters in this matchup with Martinez and Cabrera. The Tigers carried 5 of the top 15 hitters in the AL for majority of the season(Avila, Cabrera, Martinez, Peralta, and Boesch). This is why you're going to lose in 4 games. You aren't that good this year.

I agree that the Yankees aren't as good as they were last year or especially 09, but they can still put up buckets of numbers. The Tigers had a better offense...which is why the scored 90 fewer runs, hit 53 fewer home runs, stole a hundred fewer bases and had an OPS 15 points lower, right?
