The US and Australia are often hit by huge wildfires, India and Sri Lanka were affected by huge tsunamis recently, the US and the Carribean have a hurricaine season and in Kansas a massive tornado lifted a house into the eair and the house landed on top of the Wicked Witch of the East all the way in Oz.

In short natural disasters happen everywhere.

That's the type of attitude that keeps things like these happening, the reason this earthquake devastated Haiti is because it lacked the infrastructure to handle this earthquake and without helping to rebuild and bring some growth to the island it will happen again in the future, after the intital feel good helping out feeling from around the world, they will leave and Haiti will return to poverty. Mark my words.

Tragedy happens everywhere.

Hurricane Katrina was no picnic(first hand experience)

but im not comparing the two by any means.

We all have our natural disasters and tragedies

But me and my family are lucky to be Americans because we had the resources, money, aid, and most importantly a warning.

I just hope the world continues to help those in need and not turn and walk away.
