They don't die generally. They just get derailed and keep coming back. The terminator in the Terminator 2 is even more powerful. Arnold S would shoot him and terminator 2 just gets derailed momentarily. He's metallic and you have to throw him in a smelting plant.

They actually don't, you can stun them but you need to eventually crush their entire brain/skull. Zombies are half blind already, and half deaf- and the sooner you make them blind fully, you can just grab a tool and bash them to bits.
