I personally have no idea why they take 3 Goalkeepers.

I have only ever seen two keepers get injured in a game once. When Stephen Hunt and Bikey nearly killed Peter Cech and Carlo Cudicini. I have also never seen 2 goalies on a bench. lol

You only need two goalkeepers. If they both got injured do you think FIFA wouldn't let you bring in an emergency Keeper? course they would. Playing with a player in goal would undermine the whole competition.

Watch if Mourinho becomes an International manager, he won't pick three goalkeepers. Unless it's actually an enforced rule.

I'm annoyed Adam Johnson didn't get picked. Lack of service to the strikers from midfield is what England suffer from badly, especially on the wings. To leave out the only left footed midfielder we have who has arguebly been one of the best players this season for the time he has been at his club is confusing. He would add something new to the team, he is a different kind of player to our standard speedy wingers like Lennon, SWP and Walcott. He has a great final ball and could be regarded by some as a set piece specialist too.

Maybe Joe Cole will occupy the left wing despite his best performance recently being played down the middle.

The irony is, is that if anyone! can replicate what Valencia does for Rooney, its Johnson, they are very similar players in terms of, they both get their head down get to the by line and deliver good quality crosses.


Milner is a player with a goal in him, he is also a grafter, he to can cross, but he lacks the direct running style of a Johnson and is not all that creative imo, he is essentially a solid player, nothing more.

Cant see why he picked Carrick and Upson, unless he is worred about the fitness of Rio & King, form of Terry & Carra.

Dawson is better then upson, and had a better season, he partners ledley king....what more could you want from a 2 center backs?

And then he goes and takes upson....I think thats the biggest mistake he made...although i was suprised carrick got in, saying that tho...Huddlestone hardly made an impression....His chance was there, and he never did anything great
