Pogba is clearly a better footballer than Yaya Toure. Not as powerful, but that's about it.

Pogba leads all midfielders in chances created and completed passes, for a typically defensive and boring Mourinho team. He impacts the game in more ways.

Toure's first season in the league (28 years old) ended with 7 goals, 40 chances created in 32 games. Pogba (23 years old) has 4 goals, 55 chances created in 29 games and also a better defensive rating. Even looking past the stats, he just does more.

Nowhere the impact of Yaya, and that was in a (comparatively speaking) underwhelming Yaya season.

You can regurgitate passing stats if you like but you'll find that if you look at defining moments in big games of their first two seasons, the player which stood out was Yaya. Something that stats will never truly reflect is the intangible ability to produce big moments. Yaya did that, Pogba hasn't.

Pogba hasn't even been the general of a poor United midfield in recent times, Carrick has come back and took over dictating the play.

What does a 'better defensive rating' even mean? He hasn't looked defensively solid this year, the stat means little!

The fact that fan opinion is still split on Pogba even amongst the fans tells you all you need to know. No such split on Yaya at all after a season.

Doesn't Herrera have better stats than Kante in a similar role this season? Says it all about how you can twist a stat. Let's use our eyes here.

For about a 3 or 4 year period Yaya would get the ball and people would expect something to happen, whether that be blowing by 3 or 4 midfielders and putting it bottom corner or creating a clear cut chance.

Pogba has nowhere near that fear factor about him at the moment, ridiculous to suggest so imo. Is anyone scared to see Pogba's name on a team sheet? Powderpuff.

Edit: And just to add, I actually rate Pogba. The prime Yaya/Iniesta comparison is scandalous at this moment however.

Yaya Toure at his best at City is one of the great premier league players imo.

He wouldn't get in my all time starting XI but he'd be fairly close to it. Powerful and add goals and basically hard to stop

It would be really silly of Conte if he's gonna sell Fabregas especially if he wants to stay and don't mind being on the bench at times. He was superb against Boro.

His long balls will be crucial if Chelsea need to chase for goals now that there will be more fixtures next season.

Btw Pogba is no Yaya or Iniesta. He is certainly no Kante or Fabregas. He's just a $100 million flop.

Pogba is pretty close to being a flop without actually being complete shyte.

He's no Sanchez (villa type) but he certainly is not on par with kroos, modric, de bruyne, rakitic and the like.

In other words... Juventus did one on United.

Lol Pogba is better than Rakitic , Modric and Kross there isn't a club in the world where he wouldn't walk in and be in the everyday starting XI

Kroos and Modric are much better at football than Pogba ffs. In really simple terms they are better technically and technique is one of Pogba's strengths. I thought before seeing Pogba he'd be more explosive but he isn't. He is strong though but he doesn't have any real acceleration to get away from players as invariably when he tries to carry the ball opponents can always bring him down if he's in a dangerous spot.

He needs to adapt his game or have a manager that adapts it for him.

Agreed about Cesc though. He is in insane form. Chelsea have been lucky this season that as soon as we have had one players form drop someone else has stepped up. Right now it's Cesc and surprisingly Matic.

Matic has been superb against Everton and Boro. Amazing would jack hammering a missile against Spurs can do for a player. He looks like he did when joined. He has started to dribble the ball around the first tackler which was his thing.

How is Toni Kroos a much better footballer than Pogba what does he do better than Pogba? Maybe a better defender than Pogba but that's really it

I can maybe see an argument for Modric but Kroos and Rakitic
If offered Barcelona and Madrid will do a swap in a minute Barcelona fans don't even like Rakitic

Did people actually see Pogba play before this year? Tbf He really needs to leave United ASAP Mourinho is making him look like a bum and probably ruin his career
