Meh both think getting out of group stages is a massive accomplishment and both clubs were eliminated in round of 16 last year , one by Barcelona and the other by Monaco

Yeah "meh" to the fact that they've spent billions on their squad with the specific purpose of conquering Europe yet almost always fall at the first hurdle

EPL is the most overrated league out there. Everyone praises them and says how great they and their teams always choke and under perform in the CL against lesser known teams. Juventus was struggling badly this year and after going down 1-0 to the best team in EPL they storm back and score two back to back. ManU just lost to PSV ffs lol.

On another night united beat psv 4 or 5 - 2.. they scored with the first attempt and the second.. from a guy who shiuld have been sent off... i think mata was awful never seen him so bad

Premier League teams just aren't good enough to beat the proper elite clubs currently. Massive amounts of money for average quality.

Juventus haven't gelled yet and are missing Marchisio yet they go to the team running clear in the Premier League and win. Not only win, but they had a perfectly good goal disallowed and City's goal should have been a foul....it was comfortable.

I fancy Seville to beat City as well.

It's the best because it has an higher average quality throughout, the teams in the bottom half don't get thumped 3/4-0 every week by teams in the top half like every other league.

Teams like Madrid, Bayern, Barca, etc...Would utterly annihilate lower half Premier League teams. They do it to decent Champions League teams ffs.

They would do to the likes of Villa, Stoke and Newcastle what they do to the lower sides in their own leagues. They are just levels above Premier League teams at this stage.

Espanyol are pig farmers but Crystal Palace are tough world beaters


Both leagues are different, i wouldn't say one is better than the other.
I think the PL is more competitive overall but the quality of La Liga is higher right now.

It wasn't long ago europe was moaning that the CL knock out phases were mainly English teams. The standard has clearly dropped since that peak.

1) Their goal wasn't 'perfectly good', it was offside.

2) We had all the clear cut chances, we just ****ed them up. They had 3 half decent chances all night and scored from 2 of them. That was the difference.

I will concede however that our goal was probably a foul. Arguably the first ever contentious decision we've ever had go our way in 5 years of CL football?

Mourinho would be getting absolutely slaughtered if he'd set up the way Juve did last night. Catenaccio on day 1 of the competition.
