Duarte fought above 135 because of Ryan and JoJo, his team hasn't said if he won't comeback to the lightweight division....Bronx2245 likes this.

Right guy won, but man this fight was highly entertaining, think Ramos or Zayas should fight Sosa if they want to improve as fighters.

Robert Garcia made Damian Sosa from a average high output fighter to a precise high output infighter with waist movement.
RGBA has been taking in more fighters even since Garcia had announced they moving on to a bigger gym in May.

All the lightweights seem to be busy outside of Zepeda, Muratalla and Hughes.
If I was Hearn, I seek out to fight Maxi Hughes and then fight Zepeda for a title considering Muratalla is not a big draw and fights under Top Rank....Last edited by Feroz; 04-24-2024, 07:18 PM.kiaba360 likes this.

I think Ortiz would make Garcia uncomfortable, even land a knockdown or two, give him a swollen eye, but would eventually get caught with something that make him think twice from keeping going. Unless he had the mentality he had against Berto, he likely recover and would likely overwhelm Ryan eventually....Last edited by Feroz; 04-24-2024, 04:49 PM.

Is it cheating if both fighters agree? Ryan had two penalties with paying Haney 1.5$ million bucks and not being allegable to get a title even if he won.
Better than a Welterweight fighting an opponent being brought from two divisions below after said opponent had moved up to 135 for about...Last edited by Feroz; 04-24-2024, 04:09 PM.

Oh then my mistake, just not sure how long Cruz will stick around at 135....CubanGuyNYC likes this.

Not sure, Victor was better rounded, physically bigger and had impressive punching along with handspeed.
But whenever things got tough he give up outside the first Andre Berto fight and after having a degree of success, wasn't a full time fighter as he became an actor or dancing in a show...FinitoxDinamita likes this.

Is true that he is turning 29 years old this year and he should be fighting more often.
But considering he is elevating the level of opposition relatively quickly, I think he be ready for a title shot next year.year. Though considering his age, he might move up to 140.
Normally...Last edited by Feroz; 04-24-2024, 02:53 PM.

Considering the events in August 3, think that PBC now has the opportunity to push for Spence vs Fundora in November.
Wonder If Spence accumulative pressure be enough to push Fundora at bay and win though, think you need impressive punching power to beat both fighters convincingly, but...

I mean it depends on the competition as well, I don't see Ryan as a great fighter considering how limited he is, but what he does good he excels. He has the equalizer with his explosive handspeed.
If Rolly could get a title due to favoritism, why not Garcia? He might not win all his fights...

Wonder if it actually happen though, both Haney and Lopez fought in the same promotion at Top Rank and Matchroom yet never pushed the fight.
then again both Lopez and Garcia have lost their 0, and likely be skeptical on taking challenges....

Likely not if he were to fight Crawford considering he is an average sized 140 pounder that struggles with pure boxers.
Think Lopez vs Garcia would be incredibly entertaining with Teo's agressive style and trash talk from both....Regge 99problemz like this.

Autocorrect, I meant Hearn was the fastest puncher. Also the one who I see the most similarities with Garcia like you said.
Though he was stopped by the smaller man....

Not sure with the Tank and Hagler comparison, also Hagler is the fastest puncher no?
I agree with the other similarities.
An interesting clip comparison between Duran vs Leonard I and Garcia vs Haney.

Problem with Duarte was that his momentum was stopped whenever Ryan used that Philly/Silly shell. He struggled on capitalize on Ryan's flaws.
In an interesting note, apparently, throughout the fight Ryan managed to knock out Duarte's molar with a single shot to the jaw. (0:48)
