Like Marco Maidana, can Robert Garcia from (RGBA) improve Oscar Duarte's odds at 140?

With a record of 31 Wins, 3 Losses with 28 wins via the way of knockout. At the time, Marcos Maidana already had four losses before joining Garcia's team, one controversial SD to Andreas Kotelnik, and a competitive but dominant loss to the fast handed puncher in Amir Khan (23-1, 18 knockouts). And his first fight at 147 at against Devon Alexander.

After he joined with Robert at age 29, he had a streak of four consecutive wins over fighters like Jesus Soto Karass, Joselito Lopez and an undefeated Adrian Broner before fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr in competitive bout where he lost.

With a record of 26 wins, 2 Losses with a Draw, 21 of his wins are via the way of knockout. After losing to Ryan Garcia in his previous bout, he had joined RGBA a few months later with two losses being a controversial loss to Adrian Estrella at 23 years old and a competitive bout with Ryan Garcia prior to getting timed and stopped, with a record not to dissimilar to Khan's, he had a record of (23-1, 19 KOs). He is currently moving up a division to 140 to fight Joseph Diaz Jr after losing at a 143 catchweight.

At age 28, can Robert improve his skills? Unlike Maidana.

This hard-hitting Brawler hasn't gotten a win or fought a ranked contender at 135 until he fought Ryan.

I thought he had the upperhand against Ryan and was breaking him down until Ryan cracked him with that hook and put him down.

He is talented enough and a good body puncher, seems to have enough power to bother fighters with his offense.

Problem with Duarte was that his momentum was stopped whenever Ryan used that Philly/Silly shell. He struggled on capitalize on Ryan's flaws.

In an interesting note, apparently, throughout the fight Ryan managed to knock out Duarte's molar with a single shot to the jaw. (0:48)

I didn't know that but there the tooth goes flying, could have been worse, could have been a front tooth then you have a gapped smile and can later get a job as a pimp if boxing doesn't work out for you.

Duarte doesn't now I suspect have the durable chin Maidana does and probably nowhere near the power but he's a decent fighter who can be improved and have success.

I'm very su****ious of Garcia after his corner performance in AJ vs Usyk 2

Seemed like he added absoloutley nothing to AJ's gameplay for the first fight and just came to make a cheque ad then talk trash afterwards.
