  • I don’t rate him at all tbh. I think he just tries to have every fighter counter off the back foot. Reminds me a bit of Booth back in the day....

  • I think Ennis could be a very good fighter, but I’d like to see him prove it first.

I’m down for the Crowley fight.

I feel like Bud is done with 147 too....

  • I was referring to 135 and 140.

He was undisputed champion? Who else was there?...

  • That likely explains your mindset then. Big fights moving to Saudi wouldn’t impact your viewing experience whatsoever.

There’s thousands and thousands of boxing fans who spend their hard earned money on regularly attending fights, big fights almost exclusively happening in...

  • Is anyone else baffled as to why fighters go with Davison?

I suspect he must be willing to take a really small cut compared to his competitors.

  • Who’s “most definitely” the toughest fighter Ennis has fought to even be mentioned in the same breath as Terence Crawford?...

  • 100%. They haven’t built a good culture for live sport whatsoever. I always say, if you’re a passionate boxing fan, there’s no better experience than a Vegas fight week, the big fight feel is palpable.

The Saudi money is great but sport without fans is nothing....

  • I could easily get to Saudi, I just wouldn’t want to watch live sport there, as there’s little to no atmosphere.

I’m more than happy for fights to happen there if there’s no viable alternative, Beterbiev vs Bivol is a prime example. However, every big fight going...

  • That poses the question: Have you ever been to a big fight?...

  • What if fans want to attend these dream cards though? And maybe have a beer and actually enjoy themselves?

I’m fine with fights happening in Saudi if it’s the only viable option, but all the big fights going there would take the sport away from the fans.

    Hopefully...

  • Makabu sucks though, he’s a one dimensional slugger with a big left hand. Look how easily 40 year old Badou Jack whooped him....

  • Yeah as much as it’s good to see guys making great money in Saudi, it kind of takes boxing away from the fans in the UK.

I thought Wardley-Clarke was excellent though, really enjoyed that. I wonder if Frank is going to do another magnificent 7 type card. I thought the last one wasn’t...

  • Haney/Teofimo both need to get away from their idiotic father’s. I think they could definitely improve a lot under a proper coach who’d actually work on their flaws....

As you know, I was never sold on Haney but I do think he’s a tough stylistic matchup for Teofimo. Wouldn’t be confident picking either....

  • You have to put the level of opposition in context though. Sillakh is a blown up Light Heavyweight who’d likely seen better days by that point.

I wasn’t impressed at all when I seen him against Makabu. I think he has power but not much else....

  • Exactly, levels and levels and levels between them.

Feels like any young black boxer from 130-147 gets labelled the next Mayweather. We’ve had Broner, Tank, Haney etc....

  • As you probably know, I never rated Haney that highly. I made a thread years back saying I saw nothing special in him. He’s a long, athletic guy with good feet and good hand speed but his technique isn’t good at all, I always found it funny some guys saw him as some master boxer. He’s...
