  • But why? It's not as if Crawford will ever fight at 147 lbs ever again, unless he thinks maybe Ennis for big Saudi money.

Ennis won't stay that long at welterweight either. He's very big,....

  • A tragedy, so sorry for his family.

We tend to forget that while we're cheering and also criticising fighters, that they literally put their health and lives on the line each time.

We were entertained by the recent Haney-Garcia fight, but then one thinks, man, the one guy took...

  • Actually very sad, that the relationship ends like this after eleven years or so together.

Also does show though, without blaming either, that the trainer is a hired hand, and is there to do a job and then be paid.

The trainer may say all nice things, publically, about the...

  • No rematch clause, no rematch likely, maybe later, at a higher weight.

Oscar is looking at the most lucrative and possibly winnable fights for Garcia. Could he beat Fundora at 154 lbs? I think so, yes.

Does he beat Benn, possibly. Ennis? Nope. Ryan and Pitbull at a catchweight,...

  • Nah, up to I'd say a catch weight of 145 lbs at least, Davis knocks out Haney, or really beats him up.

Gervonta and Ryan rematch at 147 lbs, now that would be interesting, with a Ryan not weight drained.

I'm not saying that he'd beat 'Tank' in a rematch, but it would be a...

  • They've got the hunger, it's just that a few times during training their hunger was more for food. In Ruiz's case, Snickers bars and junk food I guess.

But 'ey, Ruiz was the heavyweight champion of the world for a while, and they can never take away that he beat AJ.

    He didn't...

  • If Turki Alilshikh offers that huge money to Crawford to fight Ennis in Saudi, he'd probably accept it.

It's a fight, for the future, that you'd think would be electric in Vegas or at the Garden in New York, better atmosphere. But Saudi have the money and it seems it's easier to make a...

  • How did some score that a draw? Garcia clearly won a close, but clear decision.

Yes, he lost a few rounds, but the rounds he won were big, even though he fought the fight in spurts, like an older fighter.

I would argue you could score one of the rounds 10-7 instead of 10-8,...

  • Munguia is a very good fighter, but Canelo obviously on a higher level.

If Golovkin couldn't knock Canelo down, how will Jaime be able to? One can criticise Canelo here and there, but can't say he doesn't have a great chin.

  • Barboza, he's a warrior, but yeah, he lost, clearly. They gave it to the 'house' fighter. Feel really bad for McComb.

What do they do to hold these judges with crazy scorecards accountable though. Im guessing some think that they better be nice to the promoter's fighters to get another...

  • Wow, if that's signed and sealed, that's a fantastic fight.

Two guys who just like coming forward, being aggressive and throwing punches with bad intentions.

Much better than the Crawford fight and others on the card. I'm guessing Tszyu's cut is healing well.

  • That's not bad money for Ennis, pretty good. Eddie is one of the top promoters.

Sure, Eddie talks a lot and gets in trouble here and there, but he works hard for his fighters.

Maybe Crowley could survive the distance, like that Kazakhstan guy I think, Chukhadzian, just thinking...

  • I hink it's a different fight for sure, with Ryan at a comfortable weight, not drained.

That's not taking anything away from Gervonta, a power puncher with an underrated boxing IQ.

Ryan doesn't need to fight anymore, has millions, and even won the bet on himself. So he doesn't...

  • Bradley just can't believe he was so wrong. Give Garcia his props.

Yes, the weight issue valid, but Haney accepted, took the money, went ahead with the fight. Haney also rehydrates to a lot.

That might be the only fight they fight, no rematch, was a beating. Rather other...

  • Eh, it's okay, we already had a big event with Garcia and Haney, and possibly, maybe, a Fury-Usyk fight in May.

  • Aside from the issue about the weight, the fact is it was the biggest win of the last few years, publicity wise, and Ryan is now of the few superstars.

Great credit to how he bounced back after being ko'd by Davis, who's one of boxing's best. Ironically, in that fight Garcia was the one...

  • Firstly, Haney has a big heart, kept getting up.

Secondly, if they ever rematch, is definitely not going to be below 147 lbs, as both of these guys can't keep squeezing into 140 or the 143 Ryan weighed at.

Haney needs rest and recovery, at least six months, and that's being...

  • Shakur in another league. The issue is, what can we do about these judges, who are either totally incompetent, corrupt, or both.
