    just wanted to share this...

before boxing, i was around 220 and fat...i lost about 60 lbs and got to 160...then i started eating better and i worked myself up to 190 lbs and im VERY lean, although i could lost some weight and get down to 185-189 right now...

shows what hard work can do

i dont have a before pic but i have one current from 2-3 months ago before my back surgery if you guys are interested

Its a ***** your whole lifestyle has to change. Once you get past that first wave of weight loss It seems you get on a plateau and have to really push to make it happen after that. When I started I was at 280 this was yeaaaars ago, thought I was gonna make light heavy to combat folkes more my heigth. had a hell of a time gettin below 200, I put on too much muscle My body fat level would have had to get to below 15% wasn't worth it I hit hard enough to compete with heavies and have done real well. just have to swarm the giants. Good work to you and NJ.

thanks...yeah, the first part is easy then its gets harder...

but for now, all im doing is trying to maintain my weight until I recover and get back into sparring...ive gained a little fat on my stomach since my surgery, but still got the pack

                ****. Great genetics, man.

I was 205 last year about this time. I'm now walking around at 175 and I fought my last fight at 164.

It wasn't a radical metamorphosis; I wasn't terribly fat at 205, just, uh, big. I've lost a shirt size, six inches off my waist, and my face looks a lot leaner and younger, I'm told. And as you can see from my frame, I don't do curls, bench, etc. Just squats, deadlifts, and cleans and a lot of cardio.

When my back heals up in another couple weeks I may start down the "body beautiful" road for awhile. Really cut my bodyfat and start sculpting, get "pretty" for summer. My 20-year high school reunion is coming up.
