  • Re-enegergizing after work

To those of you that work an 8 hour day then go to the boxing gym, what in general do you find helps you regain energy after a long day?

For me I pretty much think there is no substitute for a quick nap, but that is not always something I can do after work. Just wondering what works well for some other folks.

eat lots of complex carbohydrates and if u really need a boost i guess red bull or any other kind of energy drink will work.

Ive worked in the summers as an electrician, and **** was a pain in the ass. Id usually have a soda and a banana or orange before going to boxing. Naps really help too, but sometimes ill sleep to long and then feel more tired when i wake up , u know that feeling rihgt. But id say get a supplement like nox that has alot of caffeine in it, that wakes you up and actually puts u in the mood to hit the gym hard. I stopped taking it just cuz my body got immune to it after bout 3 months, just be careful czu the **** makes u stay up at night if u take afer 7.

Quick nap. 20 minutes, half hour. Then a banana and a glass of milk, maybe some whey protein.

Take notes kids. that soda and energy drink is doing you more harm then you think, I like Fraidy's method.
What works for me is to split up my meals to that I eat 3 small servings while at work. along with a good size breakfast. I get most of my carbs for the day during my last meal at work, when I get home I eat a banana and drink plenty of water. go to the gym and after a shake of 3 bananas, 3 apples, and a serving of whey protiene isolate. "call it supper"
Does the trick for me never need a nap or feel like im draggin ass.

after a run i tend to drink a vitamin water and take either a cold or very hot bath. (cold helps heal more, hot just feels better)

after a long day of work i cant really say its orthodox but in the summer i'd take a quick nap then have a shower and then hit the gym. For some reason i feel rejuvenated after a shower

At my age im not affected by the bad **** i eat so i got at least a couple years to worry about eating extremely healthy. 170 , 6'1, 6 % body fat, im really not worried too much about what i eat. But thats what wakes me up.
