I havn't boxed in years. And im in the Get in shape contest. Well, take a look at my sparring from years ago, tell me good or bad. Either way i see it as encouragement to continue with my program.

Do you have any sparring you'd like to share from 10 years ago? Cause i'd like to see them. Good or bad.

..........and i hope you don't consider boxing footage of years past -training or fighitngs- as a waste of footage.

u want us to give u pointers and critique it or something?

The only sparring I was doing 10 years ago was kung fu sparring and I don't have any video.

As far as your clip, I'd say learn to throw some feints, put more snap in your punches, retract your punches after you throw (they tend to hang a bit), throw more than one punch at a time, be more agressive with your distance, and don't throw the same technique at the same rhythm over n over.

It's not that bad, I just had a hard time watching it because the first 30 seconds or so was very repetitive.

No, im not asking for pointers, just critique is all, and at the same time, you get newbie posters here and they automaticlly think everybody is king kong and its not that way, boxing is a learning proccess. You didn't box years ago as you said, and you probably havn't been boxing for so long so i understand why you thought it was a waste, you're still new to boxing. Bill Clayton almost burned all his old boxing -and training- collection.

              Yes, years old.

I just put it cause i thought we had boxers here. Theres always talk about "i used to box" and encouragment of "you'll get better, just stick with it". But nobody likes to post their before videos or any videos of themselfs, but people are eager to help. So i wanted to post a video of myself, the only sparring i have that isn't that bad, and just want to here what people had to say, good or bad. No harm done.

Im not comparing myself to other fighters, but if you could see Gattis first sparring or his 20th sparring, would you be interested in seeing this sparring of years old, or would you say whats the point?

I was refering to what nj said, i should have quoted him.

Acutally in that day, i thought i was going to sparring a bigger guy in my gym since it was being filmed, so i could let my hands go, but it didn't work out that way. Later on me and the guy in the vid, got in some good sparrings sessions, none that were filmed.

Heres a boxing match that i assume is not boring. Let me know what you think. Again i added music or else you'd have my brother blow up your speakers from him screaming instructions while holding the camera.
