    Wrist injury

I had a typical strained wrist experience(fell down backwards on the wrist playing tennis). Its possible that its a scaphoid fracture as is still has not healed, after 1 month. Also, scaphoid fractures tend to not show up on preliminary x-rays. The problem is though that i never had any serious swelling.

This injury is pissing me off because i havent boxed in over a month and i feel like im wasting away. I cant even jump rope without wrapping my hands in a really wierd way. Anyone even experienced something like this? How long did it take to heal?

i think broken bones take around 6 to 8 weeks to heal, but u gotta be able to do NOTHING, well maybe really light workouts that don'r put any pressure on it. go easy dude, or it it'll never heal properly - then u could have problems for a long time

I Had factured both of my wrist before flipping a golf cart so I know how you feel. Anyways your wrist and had is made up of very many and very complext bones joints and ligaments. A sprained wrist is much liek a sprained ankle. You must Ice, rest, compress, and elevate it within the first 48 hours for maximum healing. Also taking Ibuprofren to reduce inflamation and pain. After this time period its just going to take much more time to heal properly, you dont want a wrist injury to heal improperly or it will minorly bother you for a longtime. Id suggest consulting a doctor, that has a vast knowlegde on anatomy of the bones in the wrist.
