Also I do not wish to speak on the Super Middleweight division. Something which was not introduced as I first said, but instead named the Light Middlweight division and introduced instead, to pull the weight gaps in that category together.

I read on a website that is dedicated to UK Amateur Boxing that this division was introduced. If my information is wrong then blame my source.

Here's the latest situation.

It has been agreed by the National Council that Crusierweight should be re-introuduced. The Championship Committee have reccomended that similar reasons, I.e. safer weight differentials, if applied to the Cruiser Division should also apply to the re-introduction of the Light-Middle category. However this needs to be agreed by the National Council who are not due to meet for some weeks, although the hope is that a decision can be made a lot quicker so that boys know what their target weight category should be.

The national council needed to vote on it apparently. And last I heard it was called in... a few of the boys were speaking about it there at the time.
