You've had a rough time with that last fight but you should review the footage, see what mistakes you made, and learn from it. Don't quit fighting now, you are just starting! Or at least, give yourself some time before you make up your mind to quit.
I am not quitting, and I'll still spar. I just want to be a far more accomplished boxer than I am now, the next time I get in the ring.

Well, the thing is this.... you need fight experience to be an accomplished boxer. You can practice, and spar and do whatever, but once you go up those steps, and it's for real, everything changes.

You need to practice technique through shadowboxing. Then through mitts and sparring. But you also need to "practice" in actual bouts.
The stuff you learn to do in shadowboxing won't work in sparring before you practice and perfect it in sparring. Likewise, the stuff you learn in sparring needs to be practiced and perfected in real fights.

In short, you need fights to get better.

But if a guy started with a jab and a left hook it wont reach you the left hook.

I noticed it in Lacy-Calzaghe as well as when i fight.

The distance between the place where usually the left hook is hit and it right side of your oppenet is a bit far. As well as you could do the same with your straight left against an orthodox.

If you notice many southpaw dont hit right hooks that much eless its the last punch or near the opponent
