I train out of someones backyard he has all the equipment that you can imagine and we box on a tennis court but when we go to other gym the we are very respected where ever we go because they know our trainer and what we do

Way back in the old days there was a boxing club on every street corner so if a young guy didn't like one club he could just switch to another. Unfortunately those days are over. It is likely there is only one club in you area, if that. Chances are you will just have to take what you can get.

A large part of your success in boxing will come as a result of your dedication combined with your talent. It is always easy to be like Kermit Cintron who blamed his trainer for his loss against Antonio Margarito. But the simple fact is that under a new trainer he didn't perform any better against David Estrada. He won merely because he had an easier opponent. A good trainer can teach you great skills, but only if you are paying attention.
